How to convert AVI to DVD at no cost

One of the most common questions in forums, blogs and around the rest of the web is certainly "how do I convert an AVI (or DivX or Xvid, etc.) on a DVD that you can see comfortably in my living room DVD player? ".

answer to that question, there would be thousands, but 90% of these requires the mass exodus of many notes from our pockets, that's why I decided to write this little tutorial, where we together to create a DVD of excellent workmanship, at no cost and of course in a 100% legal.

The only thing we serves, is a 100% free software, called Avi2Dvd " downloadable from here.

Once finished downloading, install the software and begin the easy conversion

- First thing, rename the file to be converted, with simple names (eg "movie.avi") and, if the source file to convert, is divided into multiple files Rename them as follows: "CD1.avi filename" "filename CD2.avi "and so on.
remember that to be put together on the same DVD, AVI files split to join, must have the same characteristics.

- Avi2Dvd now open (and if it is in Italian, we click on the flag of our beautiful country, located in the upper part of the program) and click on "film office" by choosing, in fact, the movie to convert (if the file to convert, has more than one audio track, Avi2Dvd automatic and will recognize, record in DVD all audio tracks, unless, you're not turning off those who do not wish to include). Should there be an error opening the file, try to move the movie to the desktop and the problem should not recur.

- Now go to the "Step 2 Output: if there is not, by checking on the" Make ISO "and then click on the video folder which is located in the lower left, to choose the folder that will contain the files of our DVD. If the video source from which we create our DVDs are in NTSC format (or at 23,976 frames per second), we also check the box "from NTSC to PAL"

- A Now go to the "Step 3 Encoders" This is one of the most crucial step because, here, you choose what kind of conversion done.
set as follows, in order to have a conversion speed with high quality video / audio: select "FreeEnc" and check the headings "Use VBR", "High Quality" and "Extreme" and "Use Trellis Quant" (if, are not pre-checked) and, in the "No. of Steps" set "1".

- If we want to include subtitles in the DVD, go to the "Step 4 Subtitles", and select the files to include by clicking on the appropriate keys, otherwise, skip to "Step 5" (if you want a menu), or carry out the conversion as described in a few staff.

- go to the "Step 5 DVD Menu" if you want a menu on our DVD to create it, just click on "Create DVD Menu" and give vent to our creativity!
Once you create the menu, we are ready for the actual conversion (or, if you do not want the menu on the DVD, you can go directly to this final stage).

- To start the much-anticipated conversion from avi to DVD, we do not have to do is click on the button "Add Job" and immediately afterwards, on the "GO !!!".

- Now we just have to wait as long as the computer performs the conversion (the time varies PC to PC, according to the power, but, let's say that on average, a film of 1 hour and a half, should have needed a time of 1 hour and 20 minutes and 2 hours to complete conversion).

- After finishing the conversion, we close our Avi2Dvd is trust, we open our burning program (a good free program for this work, is certainly " DeepBurner "), in which, we must open the file. "Iso "created by Avi2Dvd is located in the folder that we have chosen in" Step 2 "(burn, you should not do it at a speed of more than 4x).

Now there is nothing else that "sink" in your chair and lounge, enjoy the results obtained with Avi2Dvd , with your good DVD players .... maybe even with a good dose of pop-corn to celebrate, and enjoy the best movie!
