Lexicon family of Natalia Ginzburg

Incipit:
"In my father's house, when I was a little girl at the table, if I or my brother spilled the cup on the tablecloth, or drop a knife, the voice of my father thundered: "Do not do bad grace," If
soaked the bread in the sauce, he shouted: "Do not lick the dishes! sbrodeghezzi Do not Do not potacchio do! "Sbrodeghezzi potacchio and were, for my father, modern paintings, which could not suffer."

A story of "environment", rather than events, although through the entire period of fascism and then of the First World War. But the story "great" is, so to speak, reflected in the "small" story of a middle class family, not haughty or arrogant. Elitaria in the sense of believing in some higher values, with firmness and sense of responsibility. A family in which education was considered an important task, a family-fascist culture even before the policy choices.
